Description
Potawatomi Trail along Pickerel Lake to 1st bridge and back.
Very unusual find for Michigan in the middle of winter.
Found under a rotting log; same log under which I find at least one of these little guys nearly every time I flip it in the warmer months.

I've been coming to this pond for ages, and never ever seen or heard one here before! I always thought they just were not present here, but bam! Here it is! A beautiful gray treefrog! It was observed calling, so that is how I know of exact species ID for this.

I've seen pictures like this before, where the frog is more blue/teal than green. It's due to a lack of yellow pigment, so instead of being green, the frog is blue! I promise I did not edit these photos in anyway.
