Love this fluffy fungi growing on a slope above a stream. Sorry didn't capture underneath to see its gills
Up to about 15 mm across. Growing in and on an old beech tree stump.
Oakley Creek Walkway. On a swamp maire (planted by the creek). Plenty of signs of larval development on the plant.
Brightly coloured fly. 2mm excluding antennae.
Not much of a flyer, I found it in the garden and I didn't have a container to put it in, I got it on my hand and It let me carry it all the way back to the house.
Also, it looks like it has Song Thrush eggs for eyes!
