The only birds with classic bird track morphology in this size range that I am familiar with are CA Towhee, CA Thrasher, Brewers Blackbird, and Mourning Dove. Neither CA Thrasher nor CA Towhee walk to the best of my knowledge and the foot morphology doesn't seem to fit Blackbird or Dove, so I'm stuck. On the other hand, this almost looks like a short skip, in which case it could be CA Towhee. I've never seen a skip this short before. Ideas?
