This was not my observation, I pulled the image and estimated the location of the observation from a news article (http://vocm.com/news/could-an-invasive-snake-population-have-set-up-in-middle-arm/). As there are no observations of reptiles in Newfoundland, I thought this was worth posting as an important exotic species that appears to have established a population on the island.

Although DNA tests are required for complete certainty, an excellent candidate for Texanum based on measurements and morphology. 15 Costal Grooves (foreleg to vent); approx. 2.0mm internarial distance; 14cm total length; underbite (can be seen in third photo); blunt snout with head appearing swollen behind eyes.
