Found in a small hollow on a rise overlooking a tributary of the Madidi River.
No other bones were present and the excessive wear on the teeth indicates that this jaguar lived a long time.

The animal was very large. 51/4 inches from nose to hind end. It was sitting in the middle of the road about 200 feet from creek. I got one photo before the frog jumped into roadside vegetation. It did have the dark line along the eye but it was faint.
