This was an interesting find, a few exceptionally large cat tracks. This area has been known to have individuals from the Scottish wildcat population. It was on the side of the road, the locals say the wildcats do occasionally walk down the road after rain.
However, although rare there have also been feral cats around, but these were nurtured by wildcat haven a few years back. Overall unless the are methods of solid track identification this might have to be a very likely wildcat or a wildcat-domestic hybrid. In the Scottish highlands there are more wildcat hybrids than feral and wildcats put together.
