Description

In recent years we have noticed Fox Squirrels coming to our pond to harvest Pickerel Weed. They daintily reach over from the bank and nip a stalk, then carry it safely nearby to munch. It looks like a chewing of sugar cane, or a child with sugared rhubarb stalk. I wonder if it is sweet.
This is the first time I caught the action by camera with an obliging performer.
