Three individuals out of six or more observed warming (wing-whirring) in early morning, and then flying/patrolling/interacting along a sandy stream. Note the thin bars across the face (vs. thick ones in similar Cobra Clubtails). In Louisiana, Gulf Coast Clubtails occur along mid-sized to small rivers and even some small streams, whereas the similar Cobra Clubtails occur along the very large large rivers (e.g., Red, Mississippi, & Atchafalaya Rivers).

@ophiogomphus @stevecollins This might disprove thornbush dashers in Florida, but hopefully not. The body pattern was like the one I found in March, but wing venation is off for thornbush. Thornbush would have an extra forked vein in the little blue circle I drew in the second picture, not found in spot tailed. There was inconveniently a branch in the way of that exact spot in my March observation.
