Seen on Grevillea 'Winpara Gem' recently. Due to similarities in appearance and found feeding on Grevillea, I thought initially the larva of Oenochroma vinaria (pink-bellied moth/grevillea looper) but on closer inspection, the markings are not the same as those found previously. 15 mm length.

This is how I first found this caterpillar last night. Its bottom attached to the plant with is upper body standing straight up. The upper body was unsupported and it was completely motionless.

I first thought these larvae must have hatched very soon after the moth laid the eggs. Unfortunately I didn't see what laid these, or another group of identical eggs that also hatched later on in the evening. However, it now seems certain that they were laid three weeks earlier.
