White-faced heron had caught the fish on the edge of the main estuary stream then took it into the wetland. Low tide.

Found amongst pine cones and deep leaf litter.

Found in a rock and tussock field at about 1800m - possibly the highest record for this species. Second photo shows the 3 supraocular scales. Assisting Mr Knox on a herp survey.
