Description
This young female had this flatworm go from her shoulder up over her gills, she tried to dislodge it, then across her eyes so she was blindfolded, then moved down her snout where she was gagged! She also tried to dislodge it there. then it went onto her belly , very interesting to watch. All on video, will try and load to australasian fishes page soon.

I have never seen crimson or eastern rosellas around here but this one is clearly a hybrid of some sort. It was with others that were normal coulours

Description
I entered the forest, expecting to find something new, maybe a plant or insect; this was not what I had in mind! I surveyed the ground looking for something interesting to photo. I found a few flowers, a bee, and a young pine.
I was hunched over a lily getting a picture for iNaturalist when I decided a look up, and when I did, I was shocked! Just down the hill on the trail stood a Red Fox, looking right back at me!
It caught me off guard and I quickly stood up. "I had to get a photo" I thought. I whipped out my camera, nearly dropping it, and frantically got a few shots. Only three where all that good.
I wasn't the only one to see the fox. Beside me was an Eastern Gray Squirrel, which didn't seem to like the fox at all. The squirrel screeched and whipped its tail. It refused to get out of the trees while the fox was around.
Moving back to the fox, I noticed that beside it lied the corpse of an Eastern Cottontail, possibly the foxes prey. It was almost the same size as the fox. Minutes pass and the Red Fox decided to get up. It trotted a few feet before diving into its den. I thought that would be the end of it, but moments later it reemerged with a buddy. Together, they wondered off deeper into the woods.
What an amazing sight!

Description
I drew this after I missed a picture of this duck that flew onto the creek, and immediately flew away. I didn't catch the colours of this duck, but from what I saw with its accompanying duck that was brown, this must have been the male. Probably the most identifying this that I saw was the back of the head. I hope with this description and drawing we can get this duck identified.

Finally found this; the one subject I sketched last year. I've been scouring my folders for the past couple of minutes so I could finally have a submission for the Nature Drawing and Journaling project since I joined and have not added anything as of yet. I'm hoping that uploading this will motivate me into carrying along my sketchbook during more birding trips.
Photo of the gracious model also provided. I hadn't drawn anything in a while and even though I had my camera with me for taking photographs for observations I wanted to try warming up for later work at home.
