Terralonus? 6mm.

Big one. Found near mountaintop, 2500m.

non-typical form, most red pigment replaced by black

high-elevation, open ground, low herbs, sage; early in season, few adult males

Sluggish, did not appear to be doing that well

! Went out hoping to find a male and spotted this little guy atop a dry mossy stone in the sun. 2nd male spotted in the area but first time getting shots!

I believe this is a currently undescribed Saitis species.

The wasp was carrying a paralyzed subadult Phipippus johnsoni (Peckham & Peckham) (Salticidae).

this was washed up on the shore today with an east wind blowing on shore . very unusual as i believe they are not known to live on Vancouver island

caught by a Common Loon and being brought to a 6 day old chick. Too large for it to swallow.

I can not remember the exact location sadly.
