Alpine Ash (Eucalyptus delegatensis)

Description

Only the understorey was burnt in early 2020 at this location and the canopy alpine ash were still alive, yet alpine ash seedlings were quite abundant. This might be because the trees were old with narrow crowns, so letting a lot of light through to the ground.
