Looks like another siskin died, one that the dogs didn't bring into the house. Presumably dead of some combination of Salmonella and Cooper's Hawk.

Description

Roadkills on Highway 20. Between Philomath and Newport today I saw these dead on road: Mink (posted), Striped Skunk (posted), Raccoon, possible Raccoon or Opossum, and about three furry scraps that might have been long dead Raccoons or anything else.

Description

Two of these visited the yard today. The Scrub Jays weren't happy. They fussed a lot. I can't say they chased the Stellar's Jays away, but the latter certainly didn't stay long.
