Sole clump noted over a long walk over mud flats

Stretching tall beneath a mat of Eleocharis acuta, makes the tape measure marks fade. Sole patch noted along this part of the estuary, perhaps 1-2 m^2 in size

I wasn't quite sure if this was a fern or a seedling of another plant.
