Red tail hawk feather?
Probably a bad ID, looked alive on the side of the trail 30ft from water
This medium sized millipede was one of several we saw crawling along the ground and up the sides of the redwood trees.
Merlin Sound ID was dithering between N. Saw-Whet Owl and N. Pygmy Owl but I think Northern Pygmy Owl is more likely based on time of day. Not loud enough to see harmonics in the spectrogram. What do you think?
Also a Brown Creeper.
Size ~ 5 cm.
