Plant association: Tsuga heterophylla/Rhododendron macrophyllum-Berberis nervosa.

General Stand Description -- RS2 is on a pediment surface between backslope and footslope. RS 2 is representative of the TSHE/RHMA-BENE habitat type of Dyrness et al. (1974) with a well-developed canopy, little shrub layer development, and moderate herb cover.

1b - Solitary, lacking fused bracts.
7b - Leaves all or in part cauline
10b - Not a single whorl of 3 leaves

17b - Perianth distinct to base
22b - Leaves linear
25a - Perianth in 2 very dissimilar series
= Calochortus

1b - Basal leaves wide and flat
6b - Petals strongly fringed or ciliate, the inner face often densely long-bearded
10b - Anthers blunt to apiculate; petals various
11b - Petals white, inner face strongly hairy over much of the length
12b - Petals cuneate to obovate narrowed gradually to base (not clawed)
14b - Petals white and purplish tinged. Anthers merely acute to short apiculate. Stems generally branch.
