Antheraea polyphemus (Polyphemus)
FOS- 4 of them; one gray-black and 3 in different shades in brown; all under the garbage can lid where they spent mornings and evenings last summer
I've had a large swarm of about 30 of these taking over my dorm room since March, I believe they overwintered in the ceiling.
Saw-whet owl flew into a picture winder but able to fly off on its own power. Then sat in maple tree for half an hour to recover.
