Is this A. Augusta?
Same species as my previous Amanita post. This has a better example of the base and universal veil. Cap a metallic peachy sheen.. Thin Universal veil remnant on cap. Sulcate cap margin. Hollow, pithy not bulbous stipe. No partial veil (the previous specimen had one piece attached to cap margin). Smallish stature(7cm cap).
Under oak, firm, no distinct smell, pinkish, brownish grey spore print
Under canyon live oak in very sandy soil, largest one photographed is about 8” across
