Dark gleba,
White UV,
Eraser odor,
Near redwood/doug fir
Probably some kind of false truffle.
Smell of dirty socks.
Under Douglas fir

Microscopy
spores - amyloid in Melzer's Reagent, reticulated. diameter = 7.5 - 9 µm
infested with nematodes, at least 2 species.
Photo 19- habitat. Found closest to one of the mature European Olive trees.
Having issues getting the photos in the right order, but I hope you get the idea.
About 3.5 cm across. Sitting next to a tree by the trail. No scent that I could tell. Then again, it's about 54 deg up here.
Not sure that makes any sense but this stuff was emerging from the ground under old olive trees. Little friend in pic 2.
