On Douglas fir log, fruiting bodies about 4 - 7 cm by 2 - 3 cm.
Leathery tough dry upper surface, Pink spore surface, also rather tough. Small pores.
Flesh thin, 2-3 mm - mauve to tan.
Tube layer about 5 mm thick, pink/mauve throughout.
Indistinct, mushroomy smell.
Spore print white, spores about 6 X1.5 microns

This shelf fungus growing on fallen tree. The area had liveoak, tanoak and douglas fir. I think the fungus was on the fir. Tree laying horizontally in the ground and well into decaying. The fruiting body was about 10-12 cm. broad. I did not collect the fungus or try for spores or try KOH. Pores whitish. Odd shaped undersurface, maybe due to tree being horizontal.
