Eggs of some sort? They were seed-sized and attached to the wall by thin stalks, I managed to capture the shadow of them with flash as they were too thin to register with my camera.
On viburnum leaf. Its web was flat and on the concave top of the leaf
The zoomed-out photos are my attempt at showing the shape of the web. The top portion was kind of scoop or cup-shaped, with an opening into the vacuum cleaner tube leaning up against the corner. It was built on one side of a sliding patio door so there is a doorstopper further down, which had some thin strands leading down to it and a small amount of web beside it. The doorstopper has a hollow hole in the front, I'm not sure if the spider went inside (but did look as though it went into the cleaner attachment).
I got the best detail angles of the palps as I could, but my phone camera and the angle + lighting I had to work with could only do so much.
Side note, but I had no idea you could catch the reflection in spider's eyes in flash photography. That's pretty neat.
No visible web around for me to include
