Probably one of the biggest spiders I've seen in my life. It was really hard to get a picture of it but its abdomen was probably as big as my sam thumb and had a leg span of potentially 3 in.
I was using a beating sheet on shrubs and found this tiny salticid
Running over exposed soil bank in Salvia Ceanothus scrub at night.
In small sheet webs in rock pile covered with bryophytes and litter, sw exposed slope overlooking river.
Found on wall, photographed and released.
BL ~ 4.5 mm.
Have been told this is a jumping spider couldn't get another photo unfortunately.
