tracks on shore found just after seeing the bird fly overhead
A set of somewhat obscure deer mouse tracks in fine mud.

The beautiful trail of a shovel-nosed snake.
These perfect sinusoidal lines and small size are the distinct features of this species' trail pattern.
Found by a solar power station on Decatur Island. I’m wondering if it was a exotic pet that escaped activity. Does anyone know who to contact?
'Not sure how this is best posted to iNat. Obviously a mule deer, but I'm posting it as evidence of a mountain lion/mountain lion feeding (possibly kill) site.
Photo of tracks at this kill site posted as a separate observation (https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/138907514).
Location approximately .75 miles from mountain lion trail camera observations on 10.7.22 (https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/137941025) and 10.13.22 (https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/138726512)
[see my 10.18.22 Comment on my changes to this observation; I'm leaving the original information]

Along the fence at the dog park; lots of leaf litter at base of fence. In the corner next to the entrance under the tree. On the large dog side. Tracks!
I observed these interesting tracks in the sand.
