Basking along the trail. Left leg missing. Completely healed. Seven (7) leaches removed mostly in lost leg area. Returned to adjacent open water area following brief handling. Handling of turtle generally followed accepted protocols in Ontario (I.e. Ontario Species at Risk Handling Manual:
