Is my ID correct?
On a fallen American beech (I think). Beech is in the same family as oaks (Fagaceae), so perhaps it's not surprising to see this fungus growing on beech. I could be mistaken - this may be Trametes gibbosa

On a well rotted hardwood . Mostly effused, yellowish brownish / dirty white pore surface, with narrow brownish caps. White flesh.
