Large larval Pseudotriton ruber found under a flat rock in the flowing outlet of this spring on the west side of Wissahickon Creek.
at least 2 dozen washed up in one small area
I think this is a frog.... But it didn't sound much like frog sounds that I'm used to.
There were many painteds nearby so I think this is just an old painted. Could be a red belly possibly.
