Description

egg mass was found under a log attached to a branch; 6cm under
water
under multiple branches deep in pond, in front of water flow
12 eggs in mass
egg mass is cluster 4 cm wide
individual eggs are 0.5 cm wide
eggs are widely spaced
jelly is clear and firm with round dark center

Description

Very active adult frog (hid when I disturbed the fluffy orange sediments with stream thermometer). This portal in an embankment is a strong stream of cold (9 degree C) clear water coming from underground, in an area of former coal mines.
