Tulamben

Had a great time in Tulamben, Bali with 4 1/2 days of diving on black volcanic sand. Lots of interesting muck creatures, and a few nice reef areas as well. Got about a dozen life fish, plus a bunch of nudibranchs and shrimp. Only a few birds and insects, as there wasn't much around the resort. I suspect that they spray for mosquitoes, as there was a lot more wildlife around the place I stayed only 0.5 km away a few years ago.

Now I'm off to Komodo for 2 weeks. Lots more fish there, and quite varied habitats. I should come back with a couple of thousand observations from both halves of this trip.

Ditto! Woo hoo! Any chance you'll get a Komodo dragon???

Safe travels! :)

Yes we saw lots of dragons. I didn't get as many fish photos as expected. I flooded my camera about 3/4 of the way through the trip. Anyone want to buy a slightly used Canon 7DmII?
