I'm a 21-year-old college student and aspiring evolutionary field biologist. I've had a lifelong obsession with the natural world and organisms both extant and extinct. I have a particular soft spot for molluscs, especially gastropods, but I'm deeply interested in all animals, plants, fungi, and beyond. I've just joined iNaturalist so I can get a taste of what field biology is like and participate in whatever way I can, even if I'm not a real scientist yet. Until then, I've made a hobby out of hiking, tidepooling, birdwatching, and flipping over rocks in my backyard.
I'd love to get advice from the experts on field biology and how to become a field biologist. If you ever want to talk to a kid about how to do what you do, send me a message.
