Weed biocontrol scientist here. Much of my plant ID knowledge has been obtained from field work in Victoria, Australia, but there are plenty of plant species out there I am not familiar with, especially a lot of New Zealand native species. My main objective with using iNaturalist is to help in identifying unfamiliar plant species that I come across in my fieldwork.
