I am a retired electrical engineer that loves photography, gardening, plants - especially orchids- and nature generally.

I started a survey of the orchids on Verloren Valei Nature Reserve in 1989,which is still ongoing.
To help the Friends of Verloren Valei as well as the Reserve to raise funds, I wrote the field guide "Flowers of Verloren Valei - Field guide to the orchids and selected flowers of Verloren Valei Nature Reserve", which was published in 2016.
