Kim E. Hummer is the Research Leader and Specialty Crop Curator for the US Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, National Clonal Germplasm Repository in Corvallis, Oregon. She is a plant explorer who has participated in > 18 plant collecting expeditions sponsored by the USDA. Her assignment is the conservation of crop wild relatives and heritage cultivars of temperate fruit, nut, and specialty crops. Her main species of interest include those in Fragaria, Humulus, Mentha, Ribes, Rubus, and Vaccinium.
