I grew up in Ohio on a fruit farm of 250 acres. As a little kid, I remember families coming to our farm to pick cherries, and riding on the trailer as my dad drove us out into the orchard. I also remember my maternal grandfather teaching us to catch bluegills in our own pond with cane poles. My paternal grandfather taught me to graft apples, a skill I never used, but was considered very important at that time. Still in Ohio we later moved to a farm with 20 acres of corn a year, the same amount in fields and yards. We explored everything, had gardens, dogs, cats, and bikes. I worked for the neighbors baling hay.

I started on Mushroom Observer in 2011 with about 2500 observations. I want to copy them here. I am so impressed with iNat.
