Pedro Hoffmann has a degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Vale do Rio dos Sinos (Unisinos). He studied issues related to resistance, dormancy, dispersion, and ecology of aquatic microinvertebrates and annual fishes from intermittent wetlands in southern Brazil at the same university. Currently, at the Federal University of Rio Grande - FURG, he focuses his studies on understanding the processes of passive dispersion of plants and invertebrates via semi-aquatic mammals in continental wetlands.
