Studied Pharmacy from the National University of Singapore. Part of the earlier course included gross zoology, botany. Got into butterflies from childhood exposure to a collector in Cameron Highlands and my family's frequent yearly trips to the chalet we owned then at Ringlet the first town in the highlands. 40 odd years later, from butterflies to moths and insects, plants and even birds to any related and environmental issues to try to champion the cause for environmental conservation!
