My parents encouraged an interest in nature fifty years ago. They were enthusiastic collectors of butterflies and moths. The focus of my interest has shifted over time from angling, to birds, to flowers, then back to insects, where it all began. I love to be in a forest, on a bog, or floating in a stream, watching, listening, and smelling the natural world. I was in New Brunswick for 30 years, but living in Cape Breton for the time being.
