I have had a life-long passion for visiting mountainous regions and climbing peaks. With all my backcountry travels, I've developed a strong appreciation of the geology and biodiversity of our wilderness areas. So much so that I now spend more time photographing, studying and cataloging my trip observations than I do ascending the peaks.

I've been an aspiring naturalist for most of my life and particularly enjoy studying the flora and fauna of the montane through alpine life zones. I am always learning and am deeply indebted to sites such as iNaturalist for much of the knowledge I've picked up. I thank all the iNat'ers that have helped me with IDs and their insightful comments.
