Former seed collection technician for the Chicago Botanic Garden, for species in the Southern Nevada area of the Mojave Desert.
I have also worked as a Natural Resource Conservation Volunteer through Peace Corps Mexico, helping set up a management and restoration program for culturally and environmentally sensitive species in the Dasylirion genus; a forestry technician in Wisconsin performing vegetation surveys, carbon dioxide flux monitoring, and tree gap mapping; and as an undergraduate assistant for butterfly and mosquito surveys.
