I'm a plant systematist interested in phylogeographic patterns in the Pacific Northwest. Currently I'm pursuing my MS at Ohio State University where I research evolutionary dynamics in the Monotropoideae with special focus on the rare plant Pityopus californicus and its sister taxon Hypopitys monotropa. Often I'm trapped in the lab but I do get out and about a bit and sometimes I take the time to log observations.

Most of my botanical knowledge is centered in Pacific Northwest flora, but I also do a bit of botanizing in California, Ohio, and occasionally elsewhere. I'm also a long time mycophile and slime mold lover.

If I've hidden coordinates on an observation you'd like to see, please DM me
