I am a biologist based in Tanzania since almost 20 years, now working in the Arusha Region, in the Northern part of the country.

In Tanzania I researched on carnivores, lions to be more specific, run environmental education programs in the island of Unguja (Zanzibar archipelago), run a high end safari camp, a business that allowed me to base myself in Ruaha National Park for 5 years, researched for 6 years on the effects of agrodiversity and biodiversity on the diets of Tanzanian tribes.

Since 2010 I focus on conservation of key biodiversity areas through sustainable livelihoods and environmental enterprises for rural communities.

At present I work as a technical advisor for rangeland conservation programs and climate change adaptation measures for pastoralist communities.

...and I live with Eric, the fruit bat.
