I'm an amateur naturalist who loves getting outside and exploring. It's great to have access to this site for ID purposes. I volunteer for the National Trust and get involved with citizen science projects if available. I have little formal training, I actually work as an eye doctor, but I'm curious and interested and love to learn more about the natural world. I feel a responsibility to help protect our natural world and act locally by planting trees, doing beach cleans and teaching my children about climate change and nature.
