I am an ecologist at Point Pelee National Park and have worked there since 1993. I don't get out and do field work as much as I'd like, but I've spent quite a bit of time identifying herbaceous plants, monitoring species at risk, and combatting invasive species. I am lucky to be able to tag along with amazing botanists, herptologists, etc.. as they conduct research in the park. I am looking forward to a time when I can get out from behind the desk/computer more and spend more time exploring and developing ID skills.
My family is from Newfoundland, and I also love to spend time exploring the natural world there and trying to put names to all the plants and animals that surrounded me on adventures when I was a kid.
