I have loved gardening and all wildlife since I was a child growing up in Minnesota. I am now living in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts, and am a passionate native gardener who has, over time, become absolutely nuts about BUGS - insects, spiders, everything - but more than that, very curious about the relationships between plants and "bugs" - and plants+bugs+people!

My day job is in public health. When I grow up (I am in my 50's, haha), I would like to study the relationship between plants, insects, and people.

The vast majority of my observations are from my own yard.
