At the moment, I am a graduate student in the Ecology Program at San Diego State University, where I am studying temporal dynamics in plant-pollinator networks. My research is focused on understanding how the magnitude of interaction turnover, and the source(s) of turnover, change across a single year in local chaparral habitats.

My account is largely focused on observing and identifying plants and flower-visiting insects in San Diego and neighboring counties. Of course, I like other stuff too, and will often post observations or identifications for various other critters in this region.

If you would like to speak to me regarding my research, plant-pollinator interactions in general, insect and plant identification, or to just say "hey", send me a message. If I made a mistake when identifying something, please bring this to my attention by tagging me or sending me a message.
