I am a geneticist with a lot of mathematical and computer programming experience. Studying plants is mostly my hobby, although I participated in several large genomic projects (Oryza sativa, Zea mays, Vitis vinifera, Malus pumila), performing the sequence assembly and gene prediction.
My major goal is to learn about the Utah flora as much as I have time. I also made several out of state trips, mostly as a part of annual Penstemon or Eriogonum Society meetings. I am in the process of uploading them into iNaturalist, starting with 2021 and going back in time.
