While cats are responsible for many more wild animal deaths, deaths by dogs do occur, particularly for snakes and smaller ungulates. This project documents wild animals killed by dogs in southern Africa. Evidence of injuries by dogs is not always obvious, especially on smaller animals, and so evidence is not necessary for inclusion in the project, but it is best if the interaction was observed. The wild animal death need not be immediate, though the time elapsed between attack and death should be reasonable.
