I am a biologist with the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department working in the space where the Post Oak Savannah, Edwards Plateau and Blackland Prairie ecoregions smash into the dense human population of central Texas. Many of my day-to-day observations occur on private lands and remain, due to confidentiality agreements, as conversations between the landowner and me. My postings here are a sampling of the following:

a) roadside observations during my daily travels,
b) incidental observations from my "average daily home range" which includes several public green spaces,
c) observations from my home landscape, which I have worked to convert to local, native plant species specifically beneficial for native pollinators,
d) occasional outings about the region.
