I graduated from University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2022 with degrees in entomology and microbiology and am currently a master's student at University of Alberta in Edmonton, studying the relationships between carrion beetles, Poecilochirus mites, and carrion flies. Although I have a great deal of interest and identification experience with all sorts of arthropods, my biggest interest lies with Diptera, specifically Calyptrate and Orthorrhaphan flies.
I generally try to ID things to the family level unless I'm very confident. Any corrections to my identifications are welcomed, I'm still learning! Trying to get better with spider IDs.
