Master's student researching mites, beetles, and flies at the University of Alberta

I graduated from University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2022 with degrees in entomology and microbiology and am currently a master's student at University of Alberta in Edmonton, studying the relationships between carrion beetles, Poecilochirus mites, and carrion flies. Previously, I worked as a curator assistant in the Nebraska State Museum's insect collection, where most of my work involved identifying insect specimens from around the world. I have experience with and interest in all sorts of arthropods, but I'm most passionate about Diptera, especially Calyptrate and Tabanomorph flies.

I try to ID things to the family level unless I'm confident. Any corrections to my identifications are welcomed, I'm still learning! Trying to get better with spider IDs.
