Interested in the oak savannah and conifer woodlands of the Pacific Northwest, as well as the riparian vegetation of the semi-arid American West. Previously studied the species richness of oak and beech species found across the Portland metro area with the Lewis & Clark Biology Dept. and Portland Parks & Rec. Helping to confirm identifications within the genera Tsuga, Pseudotsuga, and Abies across the U.S. Pacific Northwest, Alaska, and British Columbia.
